I had this problem where I’d be playing a correspondence chess game with a friend, and the board I had it set up would be getting in the way, so I figured I’d make a magnetic chess board I could hang on the wall. In the end, I made a couple different designs. Both have magnetic spots to park the captured pieces, as well.
